Xiuhtezcatl Tonatiuh A 15-year-old indigenous change agent, environmental activist, public speaker, eco hip-hop artist, and the Youth Director of Earth Guardians– Xiuhtezcatl is a powerful voice on the front lines of the youth-led climate movement. He performs internationally at music festivals, organizes demonstrations, and has spoken at over 100 high-impact rallies, events and conferences around the globe. He and his brother, Itzcuauhtli, regularly give school presentations to ignite and inspire youth to step up as leaders and take action on behalf of the planet In 2013, Xiuhtezcatl received the 2013 United States Community Service Award from President Obama, and was the youngest of 24 national change-makers chosen to serve on the President's youth council.    "An  impressive  spokesman  for  a  viewpoint  the  world  needs  to  hear!” – Bill  McKibben “Xiuhtezcatl  is  a  vital  voice  for  our  time.  Combining  art  and  creativity  with   passion,  commitment  and  clarity,  he  represents  as  well  as  models  what  it  is   to  be  the  change  our  world  and  planet  need.  He  speaks  powerfully  from   and  connects  deeply  with  both  the  mind  and  the  heart.  I  am  in  awe  of  who   Xiuhtezcatl  is  and  all  he  has  already  done  at  such  a  young  age.  No  matter   our  age  or  background,  we  can  all  learn  from  him.” – Julia  Butterfly  Hill

  Itzcuauhtli Martinez As the Youth Performance Director of Earth Guardians, twelve-year-old Itzcuauhtli Martinez has performed eco hip-hop at events across the world, spoken in front of the United Nations, and given countless environmental presentations to schools across the United States.  Itzcuauhtli has a gift for writing and performing lyrics that educate and inspire all generations into positive action to care for the Earth. He has also worked extensively on local campaigns to get pesticides out of parks, regulate coal ash, and place a moratorium on fracking. His work has been featured on PBS and the HBO series "Saving My Tomorrow."
